We deeply regret that we have been forced to cease all trading at Carrot. It is a tragic day for both our customers and our staff. We are desperately sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause customers who are paid up members.
Both Directors have invested every last penny of our own personal resources in order to support the club through the current economic situation. No area has been left unexplored in order to secure refinancing options that would have kept the club open.
Unfortunately, both an unprecedented reduction in sales in the last quarter, and the actions of our creditors have rendered it impossible for us to continue trading.
The collapse of Carrot is a result of a matter beyond our control. We have faced incredibly tough trading conditions at a time where the economic climate makes obtaining finance impossible.

Update
Since closing, we are aware that some local health clubs have pasted signs on our old building offering free trial memberships. Whilst we have no control over this practice, we would advise people to tread very carefully when taking offers up with these individuals.
If you do decide to join a health club locally we would strongly recommend that you use the recently refurbished crystal leisure centre, since they are funded by the local council and financially very strong.
Alternatively, pay as you go.
